Patrick Thomas - Managing Director

Patrick has been a career banker with Barclays Bank Plc and later FirstCaribbean International Bank for over 34 years and holds an MBA from the University of Durham. Patrick has held senior roles within the bank, including that of Senior Operations Manager for the Caribbean and Area Manager of the Southern Caribbean. More than half of his working life was spent outside of Barbados and facilitated travel to most countries in the Caribbean region as well as the UK and USA. Patrick has since used his expertise in organization and methods and branch re-engineering programmes developed in one of his earlier roles to consult with entities in the Financial Services Sector throughout the region. A characteristic of Patrick’s is ensuring customer primacy in delivery of service and being self-driven with a positive outlook. He has also served on the board of a leading travel agency in Barbados and has since taken a keener interest in the travel business as a fore-runner to his present role.

June Clarke - General Manager

June has spent 43 years in the travel industry. She works diligently at being the consummate travel professional. June joined the sales team at Travel House in 1986 and became General Manager in November 1998. Her wealth of knowledge, remarkable work ethic and her experience within different areas of the company and the industry have contributed greatly to the continuing success of the Travel House. She established and runs a developmental programme devoted to promoting and managing group cruises and tours. Through the years, June and her sales team completed and successfully launched annual Travel Calendars with exciting and affordable tours and cruises. Since 2002, June has co-hosted a popular weekly Radio Program on travel. She served as Vice President of The Travel Agents Association of Barbados (TAAB), and is an ex-officio member of the Travel Circle committee working behind the scenes supporting their activities.

Lilian Mohammed - Accounts Supervisor

Lilian joined The Travel House in November 1998 following four years’ service with another Agency. She presently leads the accounts team which is the nerve centre of our operations, offering over 40 years experience in the field of Accounts. Her initiative, organized approach and ability to prioritize tasks allow her to achieve certain goals, thereby creating an environment to enhance productivity that lends to the company’s success. She also has responsibility for administrative and operational matters. Over the years she has completed a number of courses at various institutions including BIMAP, earning diplomas in Accounts and Business Planning, Supervisory and Human Resources in addition to computer studies. She has benefited from overseas training in Texas in ADS accounting and also Las Vegas and Puerto Rico in TRAMS Back Office system.

Lynette Rice - Travel Department Supervisor

Lynette joined the airline industry many years ago and discovered the opportunity to see the world. Recognizing the important role that the industry plays in hospitality and tourism and the requirement for good customer service, she found her niche and settled comfortably into the competitive and dynamic workplace. The passion to grow and evolve in a profession which requires extensive strong interpersonal skills and dedication, has rooted her in the industry for the past 42 years. She currently holds the position of Travel Department Supervisor. In preparation for this role, she undertook the BIMAP Supervisory Management Course and a Personnel Management Course at the Barbados Community College. Lynette has also completed training in the Amadeus and Sabre systems.

Francia Carter  

A Senior Travel Executive with 37 years in the Travel industry. Training in Amadeus and Sabre computer systems. Dale Carnegie Skills for Success Training.

Glenda Hope  

17 years on the job training as a Travel Consultant. Has extensive knowledge of the Sabre Reservations System, having worked on the systems for four (4) years as a Data entry Operator with CDS. Dale Carnegie Skills for Success Training. She manages many of our Corporate travel accounts.

Julia Thompson  

17 years on the job training as a Travel Consultant. Has extensive knowledge of the Sabre Reservations System, having worked on the systems for many years as a Data entry Operator with CDS.

Midail Grant  

13 years on the job training as a Travel Consultant. Knowledge of the Sabre system. Dale Carnegie Skills for Success Training.

Paula Grimes  

With over twenty one (21) years in accounting and dedicating fourteen (14) years with The Travel House, Paula is one of our senior accounts clerks. She has a wealth of knowledge in TRAMS accounting, IATA proficiency and she underwent a professional development course with the Dale Carnegie training institute.

Rhea Springer  

Our newest member of the accounts department is an accounts officer with vast knowledge in accounting and communications skills. Rhea has excelled in her competency of our Advance Accounting package and her understanding of our GDS software, greatly helps our accounting team in providing that fast financial response.

Dave Pooler   Dave Pooler is The Operations officer at The Travel House and has been associated with the I.T infrastructure for The Travel House for Ten (10) years. With over 20 years of experience in the Information Technology field ranging from Computer repairs, to network infrastructure and Data management, Dave has been able to give key expertise in maintaining a sturdy infrastructure in the organization.
